This is a spiral-bound photocopy of the original 1896 Plat Book from North West Publishing Co. It includes :

  • Table of Contents for Township, City and Miscellaneous maps along with an alphabetical index of land owners with number of acres, township, section and page.
  • Cities listed for 1896 with maps are Algona, Burt, Bancroft, Germania, Hobart, Hanna, Irvington Station, Luverne, Ledyard, Ramsey, Swea City, Sexton, Town of Swea, West Bend, Wesley and Whittemore. City maps show the lots, along with the original town site, cemetery and additions, if any.
  • Patrons Directory (or business owners list) that includes all the Farmers/Stock Raisers, listed by township:. An example in Algona is for A. Hulburt …..Bakery and Restaurant. Fine Pastry Cooking to Order.... Oysters, Fruits, Cigars, Tobacco, Confections, etc.

1901 KOSSUTH COUNTY PLAT BOOK

This is a spiral-bound photocopy of the original 1901 Plat Book with maps and an alphabetical list of land owners, number of acres, township, section and page number. The maps show rivers & creeks along with churches & schoolhouses. The towns shown on the maps in 1901 are Titonka, Burt, Lone Rock, Algona, Hobart, Fenton, Bancroft, Swea City, Irvington Station, Sexton, Ledyard, Germania, Luverne, St. Benedict and Wesley. This is a scan of the cover and part of a map of Lotts Creek Township.
